Little Red's Handbag

So my computer went down today...  I'm typing this on my partner's iMac.  Whether it was good or bad, I'll find out tomorrow at the Genius Bar, but regardless I learned how addicted I am to my computer by not having one... I swear I'm in withdrawals!

Anyway, since I had all this time on my hands, I decided to put it to good use.  I made a prototype handbag inspired by Little Red...  I plan on producing a couple more, but I have to find more baskets first--I stole our lint basket from the dryer to make this one!  Given a choice, I may find some really cool baskets to play with, but for right now this one worked.

I took some scraps I had left over (I have a lot of those, so I'm sure I can make more) and dove into this little ditty...  Using the same methods that I used to make the vest and hood, I cranked out this number pretty quickly, but it still took me all day.  I'm pretty proud of it--it has a brown satin lining, and a little coin purse made in the shape of a wolf's ear!  I even had time to shape a wolf tooth out of polymer clay, bake it, and attach it to the zip!

I have to plan how many I can make, but I think this is definitely one of a kind...  For those girls that really like their fairy tales... hehe...  : )
