Here are some pics of my new coat!
Sz. 16. Hand-painted metallic blue and silver roses with metallic olive and gold leaves in garlands around the hem, upper back, sleeve cuffs, and collar. A heavy winter coat, made of rich black cotton velour with a lightweight black lining, it's perfect for a night on the town when it's crisp and cool. Side pockets, CB pleat in skirt, and a 3-button closure in the front. Heat set with an iron, it's dry-cleanable.
I tried a different painting technique on this one, relying more on my angle brush to help create the leaves. As I've been working with it, the Jacquard Neopaque fabric paint itself is cracking a bit, giving an aged and antique feel that's a pleasant surprise.
The first of many many more. It's got an odd combination of country/goth/spanish/medieval/1960's that I can't peg down, but I'm going to be exploring it a bit more. Next step: matching handbag!
